Manitwo Flyers Club Meeting
M&M Lunch, Two Rivers, WI 9/19/06
Meeting called to order by pres. Lloyd Federer.
Role was taken by Tom Curelli: 11 members present.
Treasurer’s Report read by Tom Curelli.
1. Net worth as of May 16 was $8,886.64.
2. Motion to approve by Chuck Wernecke, seconded by Lew Stevens, unanimously passed.

Business
1. Donations (Tom)
a. Tom Curelli generated a list of donors and expenses dating back to November, 2003.
i. $2430.22 of AMA grant money has been used; 2569.78 remains in the fund.
1. Once again, thanks to all who donated their time and/or resources in the past and present!
2. Field Improvements (Jim)
a. Power: Easement from County being sent out. Motion light, receptacle for Electrical box is in; trenching and burial of cable to be done in the near future.
b. Irrigation: Leads have been run in a trench for the irrigation box. Two heads on East end will overlap the pit area.
c. Field: filling and leveling progress is slow, but sure. More fill needs to and will be brought in; especially for the West end.
d. Weber has not been in yet for well and pump installation
e. Survey crew to come in to square up outline of main runway strip, irrigation alignment, etc.
f. Progress to continue into October; updates at the October meeting
g. Great job on the continual field improvements. Thanks to all who’ve helped!
3. Field Sign (Tom)
a. File was created in Word, needs to be converted to a .TIF file in order to be used. Tom will convert the file.
4. Donations (Al)
a. Al created a document proposing field improvements and approximate costs of each individual item.
b. Order of priority of improvements was discussed and somewhat prioritized.
c. Al will put the order of importance of the list of improvements to vote. Ballots to be sent to every current member of the Manitwo Flyers. If a majority vote (16 members) reply in favor of the list of improvements and their respective priority, the list and order of priority will be presented to potential donors
i. Al will take this prioritized list to the West Foundation and others in search of pledges.
5. Field (Lew)
a. Please watch for stakes in the ground while flying, cutting, etc.
b. If you need the combination for the lock box on the shed, you must call Lloyd, Gene, or Lew
c. Gene has stain for the gazebo if someone would like to stain it. Volunteers?
6. Open Floor
a. Promotional Video: The new promotional video from Lew’s son Marc was watched by all in attendance at the meeting. The very high quality video runs for a few minutes showcasing pictures from Manitwo Flyers activities while describing who we are, our 501C-3 status, and our desire for support for field growth. Very nicely done!
i. A few comments were made that a few more pics from Folk Fair, flight ed days, etc could be included. Lew will check with Marc if it is fairly easy to add a few pics to the show. Regardless, I think it looks great!
b. Folk Fair 2007: Gene will run Manitwo’s involvement, if he gets 10 or more helpers. Volunteers needed!
