Manitwo Flyers, Ltd. Meeting
Minutes of December 16, 2008
The meeting was called to order by President Lloyd Federer at 7:00 PM. Role was taken with nine members present.
The treasurer’s report was read by Fred Scholz. A motion to accept the report as read was made by Jack Schoenberger and seconded by Al Howarth. Motion carried. It was also noted that the county will be paid in full tomorrow for the work on the flying field.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Gene Pagel. A motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Jack Schoenberger and seconded by Lew Stevens. Motion carried.
Cap Project
The subject of how to bring to completion the current CAP program with the younger kids was discussed again. It was suggested that the younger group be given flying training two times per week for three weeks. One night would be just the younger kids and one night would be with both the older and younger group together. Al Howarth. will check with Eesi for his thoughts and report back. The start of the training will begin in Spring depending on the weather.
Field Rules
The field rules committee met and made recommendations on changes that are needed for the new field. All changes were reviewed by those present and a motion to accept the revisions was made by Jack Schoenberger seconded by Lew Stevens. Motion carried. A copy of the new rules is attached for review. Jack Schoenberger was volunteered to review item 9 of the rules as to whether or not it has to be modified to include high speed low level passes over the runway. It is to be discussed at the next meeting.
Holiday Gift Boxes
On Monday December 15, 2008 the gift boxes were presented to Brian Glaezer and the County workers that worked on the field by Jim Scheck, Lloyd Federer, Lew Stevens, and Al Howarth.
Elections
A motion was made by Gene Pagel to accept the following slate of nominees for 2009 officers. It was seconded and amended to include that it be accepted by a unanimous vote by Steve Weinert. Motion carried.

Open Floor
Al Howarth showed a picture of the new impound area.
Al also presented the three possible weekends for next years Jet Rally. They are :

A motion was made to accept the above as the order of preference of dates for the event by Jim Schneck seconded Jack Schoenberger. Motion carried.
There is still some concern regarding the 10% of the net profit raised at any of our events that any vendors will have to pay the County. Al Howarth along with Steve Weinert is to meet with Jeff Beyer to get a clarification.
Al will also report back to the club at the next meeting with a proposed budget for the Jet Rally.
A motion was made to adjourn the meeting by Lloyd Federer and seconded by the Gene. Motion carried.
