Manitwo Flyers Club Meeting

M&M Lunch, Two Rivers, WI 4/18/06

 Meeting called to order by pres. Lloyd Federer.

Role was taken by Tom Curelli: 9 members present.

Treasurer’s Report read by Tom Curelli.

Old Business

1.       501c-3 (Al, Jim): Waiting to hear on our status

2.       Folk Fair (Gene & Jack): Ready to Go

3.       Flight Ed Day (Lloyd)

a.       Discussion of inviting UFO of Two Rivers to fly kites for 2-2.5 hours at Flight Ed day.  Motion to invite UFO made by Al Howarth; 2^nd by Eric Cayemberg, unanimously approved.

4.       Field (Lew)

a.       Porta Potty prices: New $700, Used $375, $20 setup fee.  $25 to clean when we specify. 

b.       Fill Holes in field.  Take a bucket w/ dirt, fill in holes by hand.  A few volunteered.

c.       Field was rolled w/ a nice trailer.

d.       Aerator: Motion to purchase a 48” wide aerator from Lowes or Fleet Farm for $200 made by Vince, 2^nd by Chuck.  Unanimously passed.

e.       Seed: Gene has graciously stated he will pay for $100 of seed (roughly 100 lbs)

f.        Cenex Credit Card: for purchasing gas for the mower only: Show your Manitwo Flyers Membership card, sign the slip, the bill will be sent to Tom Curelli monthly.

g.       Gene has made a yellow Windsock for the field, Thank you!

h.       Mowing: Volunteers needed; the field will be mowed Wednesday or Thursday once a week.

5.       Field Sign (Vince)

a.       The sign has been painted white.  Thanks to Vince, Dale, and Kiley. 

b.       Letters have been put up.  Thanks to the effors of Don M. and Lloyd F.

6.       Web Site (Vince)

a.       $120 per year.  A motion was made to pay $120 from the club’s account to continue the website.

b.       Website has been updated with new info, newsletter, and an event calendar.  Thanks to Vince for his continued support with the website!

7.       County Rent

a.       We have not yet paid rent, Jeff Beyer says do not worry about it.  To cover our butts, a letter will be sent stating that efforts have been made to pay; in the event something happens to Jeff Beyer.

b.       A motion was made to send a registered letter to Jeff Beyer from the County from Al Howarth; 2^nd by Vince, unanimously passed.

8.       Raffle

a.       To restock our meeting raffle inventory, members are asked to bring an/ a few item/s to the May meeting.
