Minutes of Meeting June 21, 2005

The meeting was called to order at 7:30P by president, Al Howarth.

Role was taken with 13 members present.

Treasurer’s report was read by Tom Curelli. A motion was made by Lew Stevens and seconded by Lloyd Federer to accept the treasurer’s report as read. Motion passed.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read. A motion was made by Chuck Wernecke and seconded by Tom Curelli to accept the minutes as read. Motion Passed.

Al received a bill from O. Skrivanie for $35.00 for copies that he made for our application for 501 c3.

Al reported that he had gotten a lot of favorable feedback about our part of the Manitowoc Airshow. Al said that a scathing letter was sent to Curt Drum regarding the way that the RCers are treated at the show. We need to hear his response before the club can decide on any future participation.

The address of the new field will be 3716 East Hillcrest Road.

We need to make a determination of the location of the donor sign at the new field. Tom Curelli will layout the location and John Coenen will paint and install the sign.

Al Howarth said he identify where we are to put the stones at the entrance to the field. After that anyone who would like to help can take the stones that were picked from the new field and move them to that location.

Al is to check with the county to see if they would have some silt fencing that could be put at the entrance to stop the erosion.

We still need to know what amount will be deducted from the lease payment for the 10 acres that Ross Johnson is using.

Al visited the Calumet Flyers. He suggested that it would be a good thing for others to do also.

Al Checked with Jeff and Anita Roberts who live near our new field. They are RC flyers and we need to make sure that we do not have frequency interference. They said that they are not doing any flying at the present time.

Gene Pagel is to contact AMA to see what if anything they are doing to insure electric planes (park flyers).

Gene is also to send a thank you letter to D. Gruett for the use of his hanger and a thank you letter to Wes Coenen for the use of his barn.

John Coenen will provide a barrel for the seed at his fathers farm to keep out the varmints.

Flight Education Day will be August 13, 2005 at the old field. It will held from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. Tom Curelli is to check with Chad Dombrowski to see if he can again do the food preparation. Gene Pagel is to check into what we need for advertising.

A comment was made that we need to catalog the videos that the club has and also find a place to store them.

Where the club wants to hold future meetings was discussed. A motion was made by Tom Curelli and seconded by Lew Stevens to have all future meetings at the M&M Lunch. Motion carried.

The club will be flying at Fox Hills Resort Saturday, July 2, 2005.Al needs to check on the time. Those who will be participating are:

A motion was made by Jack Strauss and seconded by Tom Curelli to adjourn. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 9:06PM.
