Minutes of May 19, 2009

The meeting was called to order by President Fred Scholz at 7:00 PM.  Role was taken with fourteen members present. 

The minutes for the April meeting were read by Cindy Wirth.  Motion to approve the minutes as read was made by Fred Scholz. Motion carried

The treasurer’s report was read by Al Howarth.  A motion to accept the report as read was made by Gene Pagel.  2^nd by Lew Stevens.   Motion carried.

Bills to be paid: Copies @$3.78 & Fuel @$11.10. Motion to pay bills was made by Jim Schneck. 2^nd by Dave Pederson. Motion carried.

Jet Rally

Al Howarth brought us up to date so far.  We do need volunteers for the front gate, the transmitter impound and to work the flight stations.  Soda will not be donated; we will need to by it.  We may also have the possible use of a refrigerator truck for beverages and food.  Will no closer to the event.

Grand Opening & Flight Education Day

Jim Schneck will be out of town and will not be able to cook the food.  Fred Scholz raised the question if we should make these two separate events. Jim Schneck motioned that we make them two separate events. 2^nd by Gene Pagel.  Motion carried.  Grand Opening will be on Saturday, June 27, 2009, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The flight information day to be determined at a later date in August.

Runway Centerlines

Jim Schneck received quotes of $180 for 1 line 4” wide, and $325 for 2 lines 7” wide.  Gene Pagel made a motion that we accept the $325 bid. 2^nd by Al Howarth.  Motion carried.

Electrical Junction Box

Al Howarth said we could get a 100 amp weather proof box, and have it installed for $250.  After a brief discussion Jim Schneck motioned that we spend the $250 to get power to the building.  2ndby Al Howarth.  Motion carried.
