Field (Lew)
We have a new mower! The old one was traded in, Jim Schneck paid the balance! 72” cut, diesel powered 4WD, Ford New Holland; lots of power. Used but in good shape, and a major upgrade!
Sprinkler system is operational, but the sensor in the control was faulty. The leaks at the well have been fixed, as has the sensor.
i. An option would be to install a rain sensitive gauge that may cost about $150, when it rains, the system doesn’t water, otherwise, it waters; Lew thinks this may be a wise option, certainly an item to consider.
Fertilizer: the field should be fertilized 4 times per summer. Gene will pay for first round, Jim will chip in for 2nd, 3rd, 4th.
i. Spreader costs $25 per use to rent, and needs to be transported. To purchase one is $150. Vince made a motion to purchase a fertilizer spreader for $150, 2nd by Tom Curelli; motion carried.
Garden Hose: Check into price of accumulator tank w/ pressure switch
Lew will keep tabs on when the porta-potty should be emptied
Should we have insurance for items in shed? What would it cost us? Lew to check into pricing
Flight stations or plastic pilot stations at the field? Ron Smith to research
i. Spectator fence could use same orange fencing material
Trenches have been filled; Lew thanks all who have helped
Estimates for driveway have rolled in; except from county. Approval was received from the county to put the driveway in.
As of present, you CAN drive out to the field, although until the driveway goes in, this could change at any time with rain/weather.
Web Site
Constructive Criticism was given to not include financial info, or abrasive letters to membership on the website.
The website is great; thanks to Vince for his efforts for so many years!

Grossed approximately $280, received a check from the Calumet Flyers for $120. $20 behind, came out ok although weather wasn’t ideal.

Fred: Our garage, the service door on the North side of the shed is a break-in waiting to happen
i. In the least, the glass should be covered with metal, or the window painted black
