Business

  1. CAP Program

    1. Al reported that a few planes have been completed and one was ran at the last meeting!

                                                               i.      The kids are excited!

    1. Fred, Don, and Jack each brought a plane home to work on in order to finish them up.

    2. Everything is ordered for the next group with the exception of 3 engines.

    3. Al had a good idea such that each plane will have a tool set that goes along with it.  Students will be responsible for their tools and will check them in/out at each session

                                                               i.      This eliminates everybody having to bring in their personal tools for use.

    1. Jack Schoenberger shared a story about one of his students.  Jack finished a plane for the student.  This student, who has been at times very difficult, helped Jack carry the completed plane back into the CAP building, and was Very proud of his plane, and thanked Jack three times on the way in!  That particular evening, the student was very well behaved!

    2. CAP is happy!  Al thanks all involved!

ii.      Password is your AMA number

  1. Field Rules

    1. Jack is waiting to have the field layout completely finalized before making potential revisions to the rules.

    2. Jack also mentioned that if we are to hold an event at our field, and we are not the sole operators of the event, we should first see if this is ok with the county

                                                               i.      An example would be if we have a pylon race at our field, but the race is co-hosted by our club and another club.

  1. Club Videos

    1. Gene has categorized them and organized them.  They are available for viewing to Manitwo Members

  2. Open Floor:

    1. Al got a quote for signs

                                                               i.      A 7.5” tall by 72” long aluminum sign, white in color with black lettering would cost us $33.24 each (4 total) plus a $35 layout fee.

1.      The signs are in the shape of an arrow (Al has an example on the quote)

2.      The signs are made by the prison workers through the state, and are therefore high quality at very affordable prices!

    2. Al and Fred met with Curt Drumm regarding Manitwo Flyers involvement with the “Thunder on the Lakeshore” airshow
