Minutes of August 18, 2009
The meeting was called to order by President Fred Scholz at 7:00 PM. Role was taken with 9 members present.
Fred Schulz motioned to accept the minutes as e-mailed. Second by Gene Pagel. Motion carried.
The treasurer’s report was read by Al Howarth. A motion to accept the report as read was made by Cindy Wirth. Second by Jim Schneck. Motion carried.
Bills: Al Howarth read the bills, Jim Schneck motioned to accept, second by Lew Stevens. Motion carried
Old Busniness
Air Show: We may still get paid
Runway Drainage: Need 200 feet of drain pipe plus fittings Jim figures max $500.00 (not to exceed) to install. Will need a trencher 75.00/4hours Lew Stevens made a motion to accept, Second by Jim Schneck. Motion carried. Tentative date: weekend after Labor Day
Manitowoc Cap : Season coming to an end. Will discuss next meeting
County Lease: no answer as of yet ,Al Howarth working on
Grill: Lew Stevens motioned to hold out until next year. Second by Jack Schoenberger. Motion carried
Audit books: Jim Schneck motioned we have a review of the books. Second by Fred Scholz. Fred will also set up the meeting. Motion carried.
New Business
Field Rules: Fred working on will have it done for review for next meeting
County:
1 Bill for parking lot-gravel and top soil Jim Schneck will check into and let us know by next meeting
2 Jeff Beyer – we have to leave the steaks in by the well. We also can have a wind sock on the field Al H. Will provide as his cost.
Winter model building: Al Howarth would like to get 5 Parent/child couples to go into a winter building program. Al will pay for the ad in paper. Consensus is to try it and see what happens.
Late season membership: will discuss next month
Burning Permit: Needed to burn of the rye grass.
Club Brat Fry-weekend after Labor Day: combine with drain tile project, Saturday Sept.12
Water line: will be covered in the $500.00 from drain tile project.
Noise: Ok so far.
