Manitwo Flyers Club Meeting

M&M Lunch, Two Rivers, WI 2/21/06

Meeting called to order by pres. Lloyd Federer.

Role was taken by Tom Curelli: 9 members present.

Treasurer’s Report read by Tom Curelli. 

1.Motion to approve by Vince Hickel, seconded by Chuck Wernecke, unanimously passed.

Business

1.      Spring Fling Fly-In (Tom, Eric, Al):

a.       Need a few Contest Directors.  Tom, Eric, any others.  For now, Tom and Eric filled out necessary apps.  Motion for club to pay CD application fee for Tom and Eric made by Vince, 2^nd by Doug Hahn.  Motion carried.

b.      Volunteers needed.  Eric will generate sign up list so that people may sign up.

2.      Memorial Day Parade (Al): cancelled

3.      Airport Days (Al): cancelled

4.      501C-3 (Al): should have an update soon.

5.      Brochure (Vince): Not done; work to continue.

6.      Newsletter (Vince): Not done; work to continue.

7.      Mission Statement (Tom): Draft done; will be sent out within 2 weeks.

8.      Rockets (Eric): Discussed R/C and Rocket Combo possibility

9.      Field (Lew): Frozen now- tabled until next meeting.

10.  Past Members (Discussion): Ideas discussed include:

a.       (Vince): Lower dues

b.      (Tom): write letter, follow up with calls.

11.  Field Sign (Discussion): Some would like something put on it.

a.       Plain white sucks-put something up

b.      Letters and/or paint

c.       Dana Hickel will paint “Manitwo Flyers”

d.      Street address is 3716 E. Hillcrest Rd.
