Old Business

Lloyd Federer said that there was a good turnout for our flight education day.  21 people signed the register, but there were quite a few trainees that did not sign in.  It is estimated that we had approximately 30 people flying with several showing some real interest in the activity.  There people coming and going all through the day.  All in all it was a good time.

There was a nice article and picture of Jack Schoenberger in the Herald Times and some spots on the cable channels and the radio stations wcub and womt.

We have not received any payment from Fox Hills nor have we heard anything in regards to whether or not they want us back next year..

We also have not heard from the county regarding the amount of our lease payment for our new field.

Vince Hickel still needs to check with Fox Hills on what is to be put on our web site.

The donor sign has been installed at the new field.  It still needs to be painted.

A new lawn mower is going to be required for the new field.  It took Lew and Gene about 5 hours to cut it last Thursday August 11.  We will need someone to cut the next time.  Jim offered his lawnmower, but someone will have to haul it.  Lloyd, Lew, and Gene will get something lined up.

We have not heard anything regarding the 501 c3.  We also have received another bill from the accounted for $500.00.  We will not be paying this without an itemized bill.

We need to find storage for  the equipment after October 1 when the lease on the old field runs out.  Lloyd brought estimates from Menards for materials for several sizes of buildings.  The cost ranged from $1200.00 to $2000.00 depending on the size and options.  Jack Schoenberger offered the use of one of his out buildings if we need one.

We need to advise the AMA about our progress on the new field so we can find out what they will allow us for time on the grant we received.  Tom will contact Al Howarth for our current plan so he can send it to AMA with our status.

Al Howarth told Lloyd that Curt Drum asked if we were interested in a fly-in at the Manitowoc Airport.  We need to have more information.  Who will run it, when will it be, etc.  Gene Pagel will contact Curt for particulars.

Saturday August 27, 2005 will be our second fun fly of the year.  Eric Cayemberg is again in charge.  I t will be at the old field from approximately 9:30 until noon.  Everybody had a good time at the last one so be there!

A motion to adjourn was made by Vince Hickel and seconded by Chuck Wernecke.  Motion passed.  Meeting adjourned at 8:30PM.
